Logged in as a previously created admin user (prior to upgrade) and can launch the games but get the same error. Validated permissions of /home, /Applications, and /Library directory against the other iMac and outside of the user that is logged in, no differences. Reset what permissions I could (/home directory). Problem is their FAQs for addressing refer to the fixing permissions that used to be part of Disk Util (and not much else). Opened a support ticket with Blizzard, and they are pointing to permission issues. Anything blocking port connectivity from a router / firewall perspective has been ruled out because of this as well as disabling the firewall on my own system and removing anti-virus software as an attempt to get it functioning. There is another iMac in the house with the OS and same games installed on it (Heroes installed AFTER upgrading to 10.12) and it works flawlessly. Complete removal and re-install of both and both are giving me errors about not being able to load authentication modules during login. Recently, I wanted to get back to playing HoTS and Diablo and this is where the issues started. go fig!)Īfter freshly upgrading, I was forced to reinstall Battle.Net and WoW to get both functioning again. World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Diablo III, Heroes of the Storm, and Starcraft II were all installed on my iMac prior to a recent (say December timeframe) to 10.12 (I held off because I was afraid of issues. I am an avid gamer and play Blizzard's offerings. After doing extensive research, I understand that fixing disk permission issues is no longer part of Sierra and "shouldn't be required".
